There is nothing better than a surprise home cooked meal and roses...simple and sweet. Every month it's a different bouquet, and I love them all. Who doesn't love waking up to fresh flowers in the house? Here are a few quick and easy ideas I love to surprise your sweetheart:
Celebrate a crazy holiday.
You can create your own holiday or choose one of the strange holidays that are already on the calendar. Did you know September 9 was Teddy Bear Day and today is Grandparent's Day? Make a snack, do a picnic or play a game, or buy a gift that goes with the holiday.
Create a staycation.
Make the bed and put a candy on the pillow. Set out a vase of fresh flowers or a new magazine. Offer room service for dinner and dessert. If you have a pool, serve dressed up drinks with umbrellas and have "towel service". Fold the toilet paper into fancy shapes at the end of the roll. :)
Plan a surprise an indoor picnic...especially on chilly nights.
Put a blanket out on the floor of the living room and have a dinner picnic. If you can be next to the fireplace, roast marshmallows and make s'mores for dessert. (Or if you're a little wary of fire, this Smores maker is awesome.)
